DESCRIPTION:
Winter peas are a great cool-season, annual legume with good, nitrogen-fixing capabilities. This plant has lots of vines with stems 2 to 4 feet long. Wildlife loves this plant and is usually included in some plot mixes along with small grains and or rye-grass to establish a feeding ground. During the winter months when many feeds are gone, this winter pea will continue to provide high quality feed for wildlife. High, nutrition quality. Farmers use this annual for silage or green manure.
